Built from the chair.
I'm Dr. Monica Pulec, a practicing dentist in Toronto. I started Officine Celli in 2021 out of a simple frustration: most oral care products didn't meet the standard I held for myself or my patients. I wanted something I could actually recommend and enjoy using. Not clinical, not gimmicky, just intentionally made, actually natural, and backed by science.
My approach is biomimetic, working with the body's natural processes rather than against them. Every Officine Celli product is formulated under my direction.
Nothing met the standard.
I spent years looking for oral care products I felt confident recommending. Everything I found was either full of unnecessary synthetics, made claims that weren't scientifically backed, or simply could not perform in a user-friendly manner.
Officine is Italian for workshop.
Celli is my grandmother's name.
Celli is my grandmother's maiden name. I built the brand around it to honour her and the family I come from, the people who shaped my standards long before I ever held a dental degree. Together: a workshop by Celli, deliberately crafted, rooted in family, and made to a standard we'd use ourselves.
The Pigna
Our symbol is the pigna, the Italian pine cone. In Italian culture, it represents health, vitality, and renewal. You'll find pigna throughout southern Italy, from architecture to ceramics. For us, it's a reminder of what we're building: products rooted in nature, designed to renew.
